Applied Math Seminar - Philip Maini
Title: Case studies in mathematical modelling of solid tumoursSpeaker: Philip Maini (University of Oxford)Abstract: In this talk I will review some recent work we have done in a number of areas of solid tumour growth including (i) a partial differential equation model for acid-mediated tumour growth, (ii) a new model for lactate-shuttling, (iii) a computational model for the spatio-temporal evolution of oxygen dynamics. In each case, the model results will be interpreted in the light of possible therapeutic strategies.
