Differential Geometry Seminar - Peng Lu
Title: Solitons and ancient solutions in Ricci flow
Speaker: Peng Lu (University of Oregon)
Abstract: I will explain the fundamental importance of Ricci solitons and ancient solutions in the analysis of the singularities of Ricci flow. Ricci solitons and ancient solutions are being studied actively by many people, besides surveying some key results in this field I will also describe some of results obtained in the joint works with Bennett Chow and Bo Yang, and separately with McKenzie Wang.
