Speaker: Inger Håland Knutson (University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway) Abstract: Generalized polynomials are functions obtained from the conventional polynomials by use of the operations of addition, multiplication and taking the integer part and have intrinsic connections with translations on nil-manifolds and with the multi-correlation sequences. We will consider questions concerning recurrence, uniform distribution and weak mixing along generalized polynomials. Math Tower 154 Department of Mathematics math@osu.edu America/New_York public

Abstract: Generalized polynomials are functions obtained from the conventional polynomials by use of the operations of addition, multiplication and taking the integer part and have intrinsic connections with translations on nil-manifolds and with the multi-correlation sequences. We will consider questions concerning recurrence, uniform distribution and weak mixing along generalized polynomials.
