Title: Complex Dynamics in Several Variables
Speaker: Liz Vivas
Abstract: We will start with concepts/results of complex dynamics in one variable: Fatou/Julia sets as well as the Mandelbrot set. We'll then give an overview of the more recent history of dynamic on several complex variables. I'll give ideas on some of the proofs we use and point out the connections with other subjects: Pluripotential theory, several complex variables, classical dynamical systems, etc. I'll run some simulations using Mathematica and other dynamic softwares.
