Invitations to Mathematics - Liz Vivas
Title: Holomorphic Dynamics in Several Variables
Speaker: Liz Vivas
Abstract: I will give an introduction to the topic. We will cover some key concepts and definitions starting with the theory of complex dynamics in one dimension and contrast the theorems with the case of several dimensions. If time permits, I'll highlight connections with several complex variables and arithmetic dynamics.
Note: This is part of the Invitations to Mathematics lecture series given each year in Autumn Semester. Pre-candidacy students can sign up for this lecture series by registering for one or two credit hours of Math 6193, class #9226 (with Prof H. Moscovici).
