Invitations to Mathematics - Yulong Xing
Title: Computational mathematics, numerical analysis and applications
Speaker: Yulong Xing
Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss some examples of computational science, and how mathematical analysis can be used to guide the design of efficient and robust numerical algorithms for these problems and their scientific and engineering applications.
Note: This is part of the Invitations to Mathematics lecture series given each year in Autumn Semester. Pre-candidacy PhD students can sign up for this lecture series by registering for two credit hours of Math 6193 with Professor Nimish Shah.
