Number Theory Seminar - Jay Jorgenson
Title: Modular Dedekind symbols associated to Fuchsian groups and higher-order Eisenstein seriesSpeaker: Jay Jorgenson (City College of New York)Abstract: Higher-order Eisenstein series are defined as convergent series which involve periods of a weight two holomorphic form. Associated to each such series, we study its corresponding Dedekind symbol. In certain cases when the underlying group is arithmetic, we prove that the Dedekind symbols are rational numbers.
