Title: Two constructions of the Jones polynomialSpeaker: Yilong Wang (Ohio State University)Abstract: In this talk, we will talk about two constructions of the Jones polynomial, one given by the Kauffman bracket and the other from the quantum group $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$.
