Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. TitleRandom High Dimensional Complexes and Cohomology

Speaker:    Alex Lubotzky, Einstein Institute of Mathematics

Abstract:  Linial and Meshulam set a program toward extending the classical Erdos-Renyi random graphs theory to higher dimensional complexes. Along the way they defined a cohomological notion of expanding. This notion will be described, explaining along the way all the needed cohomological notions. Some results and applications relating also to the first two talks will be presented.
