The Department of Mathematics is honored and grateful to have an Advisory Board (AB) whose members have excelled in a wide variety of careers and pursuits related to the mathematical sciences and are invested in the success of the department. Members of the AB are select friends of the department who joined the board through invitation. Many are alumni who believe the department was instrumental in their individual success.

BS, ’01 (Actuarial Science); MBA ’12 and new member of Ohio State’s Mathematics Advisory Board, has been inducted into “40 Under 40 in NYC.” Chan is Chief Actuary-City of New York, charged with safeguarding $180 billion in retirement benefits for about 750,000 New Yorkers – including police officers, firefighters and educators.
