MATH 5801: General Topology and Knot Theory
Topological spaces; continuous maps and metric spaces; connectedness, compactness, countability axioms; metrization, compactification, and convergence; combinatorial, geometric, and algebraic techniques in knot theory; invariants of knots. Prereq: Grad standing; or 4547 (547) and either 2568 (568) or 572. Not open to students with credit for 640.
