Industry Connect: Meet The Youngest FSA
On August 26, 2015, Roy Ju - a 20-year-old junior at Drake University - received the Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation from Society of Actuaries (SOA) President Errol Cramer and has become the youngest FSA ever in the SOA’s history. As he achieved the milestone in this incredible journey, Roy shared his thoughts on the attributes to his exam success, the SOA’s education and a career in the actuarial field. He will also be sharing his experience on working at Nationwide Financial, and his own business Rethink Studying.
Roy Ju works as a Senior Actuary within Life & Annuity business lines. Roy became the youngest FSA in SOA history in August 2015, at the age of 20. He is a Cedar Falls, Iowa native who graduated from Drake University, studying finance, economics, and actuarial science. He has strong interests in financial markets, investments, economics, and international business.
