Commutative Algebra Seminar --Keith Johnson
Speaker: Keith Johnson - Dalhousie University
Title: Integer Valued Polynomials and Division Algebras
Abstract: A 2012 paper of Loper and Werner described the integral closure of the ring of rational polynomials preserving nxn integer matrices in terms of integer valued polynomials on number fields. We connect this with integer valued polynomials on maximal orders in division algebras and show how this leads to explicit calculations of the polynomials involved.
