Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Title:  An Introduction to Integer-Valued Polynomial Rings

Abstract:  In this talk we discuss the ring of integer-valued polynomials $Int(Z)={f(x) \in Q[x] | f(Z) \subseteq Z}$.  We mention various interesting properties of this ring.  In particular, we consider the Skolem property.  We then investigate some conditions necessary for these properties to hold if Z is replaced with another domain D.  This talk is a survey of classical resuts due to various authors.
