Title: Kahler-Einstein Metric and Donaldson-Uhlenbeck-Yau Correspondence

Speaker: Shing-Tung Yau (Harvard University) 

Abstract: We will survey topics of Kahler-Einstein metrics and Donaldson-Uhlenbeck-Yau correspondence which provide powerful analytic approaches to problems in differential geometry, algebraic geometry and string theory. Motivations, recent development and interaction between these subjects will be emphasized. We will also propose some open questions.
