A Reeb graph can be interpreted as a constructible cosheaf over the real line valued in Set. This smoothing operator relies heavily on the fact that $\mathbb{R}$ is contractible. I will introduce a smoothing operator for (co)sheaves that are constructible with respect to any Thom-Mather stratified space. This construction is key to proving the stability of persistent local systems. MacPherson, Patel.
