Title: The Gromov-Hausdorff distance between spheres

Speaker: Zane Smith (Ohio State University)

Abstract: We show upper and lower bounds for the Gromov-Hausdorff distance between spheres of different dimension endowed with their canonical geodesic distances. We discuss the tightness of these bounds in some interesting cases.
