Welcome Seminar - John Holmes
Title: Well-posedness for three nonlinear evoluation equationsSpeaker: John Holmes (OSU)Abstract: We explore three nonlinear partial differential equations, and through these examples, we consider how we choose the correct spaces to study a particular equation. We will look at how the relationship between nonlinear and linear terms, as well as the particular operators found in each equation shapes our well-posedness argument. We will also outline some of the (very different) tools needed from analysis in each model.
