Title: Invariants, clusters, and webs - Lecture 2

Speaker: Sergey Fomin (University of Michigan)

Abstract: This talk will introduce cluster algebras, and discuss an important class of examples: the classical rings of $SL_k$ invariants. We will focus on the case $k=3$, where one can take advantage of the diagrammatic calculus of tensor diagrams and Kuperberg's webs.

Joint work with Pavlo Pylyavskyy. This lecture will not rely on the previous one.
