Title
Obstructions to Frame Vectors and Group Representations

Abstract
We investigate obstructions to the existence of frame vectors, in particular related to group representation and we provide examples of groups having faithful representations without frame vectors. As a result of these constructions we obtain a new characterization of amenability and a weaker form of Kazhdan’s property (T). This is joint work with Gabriel Picioroaga.
