Title: Obstructions to nonnegative curvatureSpeaker: Wolfgang Ziller (University of Pennsylvania)Abstract: All homogeneous spaces admit metrics with non-negative curvature. This is not true anymore for metrics invariant under a group action whose generic orbits are hypersurfaces. We will discuss obstructions by using a new concavity property of Jacobi fields in non-negative curvature.
