Elementary proofs for theorems of Bernstein, Jorgens, and Calabi
Abstract
We present elementary and unified proofs for Bernstein, Jorgens, and Calabi theorems, which state that entire solutions of minimal surface, maximal surface, and Monge-Ampere equations are linear, linear, and quadratic polynomials respectively in two dimensions.
