Title: Dynamics of incompressible fluids at high Reynolds number

Speaker: Zhuolun Yang

Abstract:  The Euler and Navier–Stokes equations are central models in fluid mechanics. It is known that at high Reynolds numbers, fluids in general exhibit turbulent behavior, which raises many interesting mathematical questions. In this talk, I will give an overview of these equations, and describe some directions that I am interested in.
