K-theory/Motivic Homotopy Theory Seminar - Michel Brion
Speaker: Michel Brion, Institut Fourier, Grenoble, France.Title: Linearization of line bundlesAbstract: We study the linearization of line bundles and the local structure of actions of connected algebraic groups, in the setting of seminormal varieties. We show that several classical results about normal varieties extend to that setting, if the Zariski topology is replaced with the etale topology. Our approach is based on results of Weibel on Picard groups of Laurent polynomial rings.
