Title: There exists a unique separable hyperfinite $II_1$ factor

Abstract: This talk will be divided in two parts. In the first part we will review some important basic definitions and prove a few preliminary technical lemmas. Time allowing, we will start proving the uniqueness theorem. For the second part we will put together these results to complete the proof.
