Title: Jones’ Index Rigidity Theorem part 2

Speaker: Roberto Hernandez Palomares (Ohio State University)

Abstract: We will define all the necessary elements to state the index rigidity theorem, involving the Temperley-Lieb algebras $TL_n(q)$. After, we will prove several useful identities for the Jones-Wenzl projections. Finally, we will prove the theorem by analyzing properties of sesquilinear forms on the $TL_n(q)$'s defined by means of traces, thus establishing restrictions on the complex number $q$.
