Title: Lecture 3. Moduli of abelian varieties

Abstract: In Lectures II and III, I will discuss the geometry of the moduli spaces of curves and abelian varieties with a view towards the study of their cohomologies (and, especially, the relationship between the two spaces via the Torelli map). The main theme will be the geometry of tautological classes and their connections to a wide range of mathematical structures.
