Aziz Burak Gülen wins Graduate Associate Teaching Award

Aziz Burak Gülen has won the 2021-22 Graduate Associate Teaching Award (GATA) by the Ohio State Graduate School.

GATA is the highest recognition by the university for exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates. This year 23 winners were selected for this prestigious with over 3,000 eligible graduate students serving as GTAs on campus. Recipients receive a cash prize of $2,000 each and are honored by the university leadership in the upcoming Graduate School Award Ceremony.

Aziz joined our department in 2018 after earning his bachelor's degree at the Middle East Technical University in Turkey. He is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Facundo Memoli on projects in Topological Data Analysis and Persistent Homology.
