City & State NY has named Sherry Chan ’01, ’12 MBA to its list of the most influential Asian Americans in New York politics and policy. Chan is just the fifth chief actuary in New York City’s history — and the first Asian American to fill the position.

Jingyin Huang has been named assistant professor and holder of the Alice Louise Ridenour Wood Chair in Mathematics, effective August 2020 through August 2025. Huang currently works in geometric group theory and metric geometry.
