Caroline Tatsuoka wins the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science Graduate Student Research Award

Congratulations to Caroline Tatsuoka who has won the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) award. 

The SCGSR award is provided by the SCGSR program for outstanding U.S. graduate students who are pursuing their graduate thesis research at participating DOE laboratories and facilities in areas that address scientific challenges central to the DOE Office of Science mission. The research opportunity is expected to advance the graduate students' overall doctoral thesis while providing access to the expertise, resources, and capabilities available at the DOE laboratories and facilities.

The award is for the proposed SCGSR research project, "Machine learning modeling for multi-fidelity models and data", to be conducted at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Caroline was selected for the SCGSR award in recognition of outstanding academic accomplishments and the merit of the SCGSR research proposal. This award reflects her potential to advance the Ph.D. studies and make important contributions to the mission of the DOE Office of Science. Caroline has been supported by her thesis advisor Professor Dongbin Xiu.
