On February 9th, Buckeye Ah-ha! Math Moments (BAMM) organized a math festival at Barrington Elementary. Affectionately dubbed ``I-❤️-Math, a π-rates night for me!'' Jim Fowler and Bart Snapp developed around 20 pirate-themed math-enrichment stations aimed at the K-5 grade levels. At the event, Fowler, Snapp, Jim Talamo, Michael Tychonievich, and undergraduate Hannah McDavid, represented BAMM. Aided by volunteers from the school, we estimate that we engaged around 300 students that night. The students (and parents!) seemed to have a great time with our math activities. For the future, BAMM hopes to make these types of festivals a monthly event at local city schools.
