Academic Background and Research Contributions
Dr. Pandey joined the Ohio State faculty on October 1, 1986, after earning his Ph.D. from the Banaras Hindu University Institute of Technology in India in 1980. Throughout his tenure, he maintained an active research agenda in applied mathematics, specializing in fluid mechanics.
With more than three dozen refereed journal articles to his credit, Dr. Pandey’s research addresses complex wave interactions and heat transfer. His work sits at the intersection of mathematical analysis and physical engineering, using advanced mathematical tools to model real-world physical phenomena.

Magnetogasdynamics and Shock Wave Propagation: A significant portion of Dr. Pandey’s research focuses on the behavior of gas flows under the influence of magnetic fields and thermal radiation.
