Alyson Novick graduated from Ohio State Undergrad in 2025. She graduated with a major in Actuarial Science and  minors in Economics and Business. She currently works for PwC as an Actuarial Analyst. How did you first become interested in actuarial science?

I knew that I was always interested in math but wanted something that would allow me to work in real world situations. Actuarial Science gave me both!

What did you think about the faculty in the program?

The faculty in the program are incredible and are very intelligent. They have not only course knowledge but also the ability to help with internships and jobs.

How were your interactions with other students in the program?

he students in the program are very hardworking and great with group work. I was able to be apart of many study groups.

What role did OSU's program play in tackling the SOA or CAS exams?

OSU's program is nice because the courses help to teach material on the SOA exams. This was very helpful as it made my personal studying easier.
