Title
The singular locus of splitting loci

Abstract
Splitting loci are interesting degeneracy loci that arise when one has a family of vector bundles on the projective line. I will define splitting loci, give some examples, and construct a modular resolution of singularities using relative flag-Quot schemes. Building on this, I will give a precise characterization of the singular locus of splitting loci.
