Differential Geometry Seminar - Zhongmin Shen
Title: On the geometric meaning of some quantities of Finsler metricsSpeaker: Zhongmin Shen (Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis)Abstract: The Riemann curvature and its average (Ricci curvature) are naturally extended to Finsler metrics. There are several non-Riemannian quantities which play an important role in Finsler geometry. In this talk, I will talk about the S-curvature, the X-curvature and their relation with the Riemann curvature and the Ricci curvature.
