Title: Einstein metrics
Speaker: Andrzej Derdzinski
Abstract: An Einstein metric on a manifold M is a Riemannian metric g on M, the Ricci tensor of which is a constant multiple of g. In the first lecture I will present the concepts appearing in this definition, along with examples, motivations, and some historical background.
