Title
Absence of the Dunford–Pettis Property for $\dot{W}^{1,1}(\Omega)$ and $\dot{BV}(\Omega)$ in dimensions $>1$

Abstract
In this talk, we will show that the Dunford-Pettis property fails in $\dot{W}^{1,1}(\Omega)$ and $\dot{BV}(\Omega)$, where $\Omega \subset \R^n$, and $n \geq 2$.

Based on a joint work with Krystian Kazaniecki and Michał Wojciechowski.

Additional Details: This is a joint seminar with the Analysis and Operator Theory Seminar and Geometric and Metric Analysis Seminar (SiGMA). This is part 2 of a two part talk. The second first will be in Dulles 0016 from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Participation of graduate students interested in analysis is strongly encouraged.
