Mathematics Puzzle Hunt

This event is jointly hosted by Cycle, MGSA, and Spectra. The exact start time will be determined later, but this is an all-day event.

We are bringing back the Mathematics Puzzle Hunt! This event is part intellectual competition and part race. All members of the department are welcomed to participate. Your team should consist of at most three members. At least two members of your team must be in the Department of Mathematics or the Department of Statistics. (These two rules do not apply to existing Cycle mentoring groups, but mentoring groups need not be on the same team.) Each team will be given a packet of puzzles leading to locations nearby (centered on the Math Tower); at the location you will find a code which you will enter on a website to get points. Each puzzle will include bonus points for the first team to solve. We will have prizes for the winning team.

Each team may submit at most two puzzles. Submit puzzles by emailing Kacey Aurum (aurum.1@osu.edu, TeX please) the puzzles as well as an explanation of how to solve them. Reminder that the solution should be a location near the math tower; if you want specific information on the boundaries or have any questions please email Kacey Aurum.
