Title: The Questionable "$?$" Function

Abstract: As students, we all learn that if we add $\frac{p}{q}$ and $\frac{r}{s}$, then the answer should not be $\frac{p+r}{q+s}$... But what if it were? As it turns out, it gives us a surprisingly good way of studying all rational numbers, along with a fractal known as the slippery devil's staircase, and a function known as the question mark function, $?(x)$.
