Huseyin Acan awarded NSF Postdoc Fellowship

OSU Department of Mathematics alumnus Huseyin Acan has been awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. This fellowship is designated to support research and training projects in the mathematical sciences under the mentorship of a sponsoring scientist.

Acan's project, Counting Connected Combinatorial Objects, is sponsored by Jeff Kahn at Rutgers University. Dr. Acan previously studied under OSU's Boris Pittel. Following his graduation in 2013 he held a post-doctoral position at Monash University in Australia until his move to Rutgers this year.
