Jacob Miller wins in Denman Undergrad Research Form

Jacob Miller

Please join me in congratulating Jacob Miller, one of our Math majors who won a first place in annual Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on March 26.

Jacob’s project combined math, biology, computer science, and linguistics to form analytic approaches to biology education.  The project that was presented at the Denman Forum is entitled: "New Tools for Quantifying Textbook Design for Biology Education."

Although Jacob is a Math major, his advisor for the winning project is Dr. Zeynep Benderlioglu from  the department  of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology.   The initial idea for this project was inspired by  Dr. Chris Altomare from our department.

Congratulations to Jacob
