Katherine Goldman awarded a National Science Foundation Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowship

Congratulations to Katherine Goldman, a recent PhD graduate from our program, who has been awarded a 2024 Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (MSPRF) by the National Science Foundation. The MSPRF is one of the most prestigious awards a mathematican can receive at this point in their career with Katherine being one of only 43 recipients of the award this year. With the award totaling $190,000, Dr. Goldman will be enabled to carry out scientific study and research in Non-Positively Curved Aspects of Artin Groups and Related Families. Dr. Goldman received her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Jingyin Huang in Spring 2024. Her research interests include geometric group theory and metric geometry.
