Kun Wang wins Presidential Fellowship

Kun Wang

I am delighted to announce that our graduate student Kun Wang has been awarded a prestigious Presidential Fellowship by the OSU Graduate School.

Kun joined our department in 2008 after completing a masters degree at Zhejiang University. In recent times he has been working on topics in geometric group theory, assembly maps in K-and L-Theory, and the Farrell-Jones Conjecture under the supervision of his advisor Professor Jean Lafont.

The Graduate School awards only about 15 Presidential Fellowships each semester to the most outstanding doctoral students in the entire university.

Please join me in congratulating Kun and his advisor on this outstanding honor and achievement.
