Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Matt Kahle receives prestigious CAREER grant from NSF

Matt Kahle has received a prestigious CAREER grant  from NSF for his proposal entitled  "Random spaces and groups.”  The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their organizations. These activities build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.  The research aspects of his grant will be integrated with educational activities such as an interdepartmental seminars in "Topology, Geometry, and Data,'' to expose graduate students to interdisciplinary research.
