Matthew Kahle Receives a Simon Fellowship in Mathematics

Kahle, Matthew

Congratulations to Matthew Kahle for receiving a 2019 Simon Fellowship in Mathematics. Professor Kahle's research interests include topological and geometric combinatorics, stochastic topology, topological statistical mechanics, and geometric group theory. He is also interested in topological data analysis and applications of algebraic topology in general. From the Simon Fellowship website: "The Simons Fellows program extends academic leaves from one term to a full year, enabling recipients to focus solely on research for the long periods often necessary for significant advances. The foundation is proud to support the work of these distinguished scientists." For more details see Simons Fellows in Mathematics.
