OSU Awarded Society of Actuaries University Earned Credit Recognition
The Society of Actuaries (SOA) has approved Ohio State University's Actuarial Science program as a University Earned Credit (UEC) institution. This designation recognizes universities with high-quality actuarial programs and allows students in eligible actuarial courses to earn credit toward SOA professional exams by demonstrating mastery of the course material.
To earn the UEC designation, actuarial programs must demonstrate a strong curriculum, experienced faculty and effective assessment practices. Approved courses are reviewed to ensure they cover the SOA's required learning objectives and meet the high level of rigor expected for actuarial exams. This designation reflects Ohio State's continued commitment to excellence in actuarial education.
