Tseng Recognized by International Consortium for Chinese Mathematicians

Hsian-Hua Tseng

Congratulations to our colleague Hsian-Hua Tseng for being awarded the 2019 International Consortium for Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) Best Paper Award for his joint paper "Open Gromov--Witten invariants, mirror maps, and Seidel representations for toric manifolds," published in Duke Mathematical Journal.

The award citation notes the paper contribution as giving "the first method to calculate the open Gromov--Witten invariants for all toric manifolds that are semi-Fano," and recognizes the highly technical computations involved in the paper's proof.

The ICCM Best Paper Award was established in 2017 and carries a cash prize of US $5000. A ceremony was held on December 16, 2019 in TSIMF China to announce the awarded papers, to be followed by a conference on December 17.
