Peter March, professor of mathematics and College of Arts and Sciences’ divisional dean for natural and mathematical sciences, has been named executive dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers University, effective July 1. His last day at Ohio State is June 30. March has spent most of his career at Ohio State where his impact has been far-reaching. He has served as ASC divisional dean since 2010, chaired the Department of Mathematics from 1998 to 2006 and was an associate director of the Mathematical Biosciences Institute from 2003 to 2005. From 2006 to 2010, he served as director of the Division of Mathematical Sciences at the National Science Foundation. A successor will be named shortly.
